TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (CAFÉ)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To be a member of the Vocational Education Team for the general planning & development of the vocational curriculum, and the training, assessment and discipline of trainees in the school

  • To develop and implement individualized training plan for trainees, in consultation with the school's industrial Occupational Therapist and to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of training

  • To prepare lesson plans (based on specified industry competencies and skills) for the development of kitchen / service crew trainees at the school café – including drafting of trainer's guide and learner's guide

  • To conduct training for kitchen / service crew trainees at the school café according to lesson plans so as to impart relevant hands-on performance procedures and skills sets which will enable them to be ready for employment in the food catering industry

  • To identify, monitor and assess kitchen / service crew trainees regularly based on the specified objectives in the lesson conducted (including both formative and summative assessment)

  • To plan, source and procure the logistics support (equipment, materials) needed for the effective conduct of the training modules at the school café

  • To perform the role of job coach at external F&B outlets so as to guide student trainees (on work experience or job attachment) on their smooth assimilation into their new work environment, provide on-the-job support and advise them on appropriate ways to manage problems faced at work

  • To conduct checks on their work performance and provide constructive feedback for work improvement

  • To liaise with parents, caregivers, form teachers and employers on work-related issues concerning

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have full 'O' level and above academic qualifications

  • Have at least 2 years of relevant working experience as a café or restaurant manager

  • Have substantial experience in training kitchen / service crews in the food catering area

  • Have good communication and presentation skills in English

  • Be resourceful and able to work independently as well as within a team

  • Have ability to work in a dynamic and challenging work environment

  • Have a genuine desire to serve the special needs community

  • Must be Singaporean or local Permanent Resident (PR)

  • Can be a mature or retired worker

Occupational Therapist

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assess children's motor and sensory functions (in the case of children with autism and developmental delay).

  • Provide weekly occupational therapy to children in various settings; classroom, one-to-one for children from 7 to 18 years old.

  • Assist the assessment team in children's admission to school.

  • Provide occupational therapy consultation to caregivers and teachers.

  • Maintain reports and documentation on children's progress and skills.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification: Diploma in Occupational Therapy.

  • Preferred work experience - 1 to 2 years Pediatric work.

  • Strong interest in working with children with special needs.

  • Must be Singaporean or PR.
